Hi. My pc is not loading the operating system. It either shows disk read error or error loading operating system everytime. Even when i select the automatically repair option it just loads the windows files and tats it, it just displays a blank screen no matter how much ever u wait. My os is 64bit version of windows 7 ultimate. RAM - 4GB

There's a good chance the hard disk is on its way out, if it's not dead already. I would recommend loading a Linux live distro from a flash drive and using that to interrogate the disk to see if you can pull off any files.

What's the brand name and model name and model number and serial number of your PC?

Where did you get the copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit that's in it and that you're trying to repair?

Your drive is dead - since you have tried many reboots and it either says read error or no operating system .At least the boot sectors on the drive is dead. The rest of the contents may still be recoverable. Boot with a Ubuntu LiveCD, choose Live mode, not Install, and it will run from the DVD. Then insert a USB memory stick and copy files out.

I got the copy of OS from a retailer when I got my hard disk changed recently. Theres not much data on the disk so losing data is not a problem.

Apparently the hard disk you received is not good. Take it back; it should have some sort of warranty.
