I have changed something within Red Hat 9 but am not sure where I did it. I receive an error message when I login.....

Could not look up internet address for localhost.localadmin.
This will prevent GNOME from operating correctly.
It may be possible to correct the problem by adding
localhost.localadmin to the file /etc/hosts.

It will start up fine but this kinda bugs me. Any suggestions?
And please explain it to me like I am a 6 year old. I just started working with Linux.
Thank you.

Are the following lines in your /etc/hosts file.

# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
