I have just wiped my hard drive and reinstalled windows 98 se. I have reinstalled all my drivers, etc and everything is ok except two things -

    1. On opening internet explorer I go this error message -

<UNKNOWN> caused an exception c0000006H in module <unknown> at 0000:bff81960.

    2. In my device manager is an unknown device and I cannot find out what it is nor can i find drivers for it.

I have had a horrendous two days of problems with this reformat, so all help (and kind words) are appreciated!

    Many thanks!

in regard to item one - when I clicked the close button on the error message it said it was due to restrictions on the computer and I should contact my administrator. Does anyone know what that means and how to fix it? many thanks!
