Great! :D

Now you should have 35 - 40 post-SP3 critical updates waiting to be installed. ;)

Wait wait lol one more thing. The install of SP3 is all complete and I've already installed all my software and programs so as far as that is concerned I'm just about done.
Only thing is... aren't there more updates after SP3 like flavallee said there are about 30-45 of em? Every time I try to launch 'windows update' I STILL get "[Error number: 0x8024D007]. The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view". Wtf? Should I be worried about this? Does it maybe have something to do with activex control, which I don't THINK i have installed?

That's what I advised you in my previous reply. There should be 35 - 40 post-SP3 critical updates to download and install.

I just did a fresh install of XP SP2 and then a SP3 upgrade in a Toshiba laptop last weekend(after first replacing the hard drive), so that's how I know.

For some reason, many Microsoft sites are failing to load and are displaying the "This page cannot be displayed" message. Clicking "View - Refresh" loads the page. At least it's worked for me.
