Hi All,
I decided to format my PC over the weekend. I re-installed Windows XP Professional by deleting all existing partitions and starting again from scratch.
After this installation I went to Help and Support and an error message came up stating that the Help and Support service was not running. I looked in Administrative Tools and Help and Support was automatically enabled.
Also, I went to the Microsoft site and scanned for any necessary updates needed. It told me I needed to Install Service Pack 1 before anything else. I did this and re-booted. When I went back to the Microsoft site It told me I needed the same service pack. I repeated this process 4 times and still the system isn't recognising the Service Pack.
I'm going to do a re-installation tonight, and I wondered if anyone has any advice for me to help resolve these issues.
Thanks.
