    Dell Inspiron laptop Win 98
Just installed NAV 2005 over 2000

Also updated some windows files from Microsoft.

    Getting errors on startup:

adsldpc.dll file is linked to missing export ntdll.dll: rtllnit unicode string

    c:\progra~1\common~1\symant~1\sndsrvc.exe
A device attached is not functioning.

These 2 error boxs come up twice.....I just OK out of them....then get:

    illegal operation
Explorer caused an exception c06d007eh in module sends.dll at 017f:6010857f

Ok out of that and can then go into IE, outlook or whatever.

Didn't have errors before NAV install.

    Would appeciate any input.

    Here is the log:

Thanks for the quick reply. I went to the site and downloaded the zip file.

Where do I put them? Root of Windows System or System32? Not sure what to do with the files when they are unzipped. They were put in unzipped folder.

I am still getting the errors, so just the download and unzipping didn't do it.

    Thanks for being there!

yes, indeed....go Eagles. I was rooting for Steelers, too. Redskins fan, too.

That could be the issue. You must remove a previous version of the software before installing a new version.

Uninstall Norton. Go to this link and download Rnav2003.exe:

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...56ee600549628&dtype=&prod=&ver=&osv=&osv_lvl=

Run this utility to completely uninstall Norton from the computer. Once done, restart the computer and install NAV 2005.

Good luck with Norton. I wouldn't install it even if they gave it to me.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

You have the same problem that most other computer users have - having too many unnecessary programs loading during startup and running in the background. Other than

    ScanRegistry

    SystemTray

    Antivirus program entries

    Firewall program entries

very few other programs need to load during startup and run in the background.

The smaller the startup load is kept, the less problems you will have with your computer. (y)
