Whenever i install a game or software i get an error either saying "An I/O error has ouccurred while installing a file. This is normally caused by bad installation media or a corrupt installation file." or i get an error saying "Setup failed to extrat file or somting similar then saying this is usally caused by low memory (low disk space for swapping file) or a corrupted cabinet file". I have tried formating my hard drive and used numerous harddrive and still get the problem. I also tried to change the ram/ide cable and still got the problem. Plz help

Welcome to TSG! Did you format the hardrive? I did not understand your post in this regard. If not, then check for a virus/worm

Have you tried a different CD Rom Drive? Sounds like the ROM is erroring when reading. Check the CD Rom's IDE ribbon also. Swap it out.
