I recently installed a eSata pcmcia card on my laptop as my external HD stopped workin in usb2, it would only work in usb1.
The first time I transfer a file to the external HD it runs great for the first 500 or so meg.
The second file will slow down drastically after 200 meg.
If I try to transfer more than 1 file to the HD at the same time they all slow down drastically.
I have tried plugging directly into other HD's and they did the same thing. That ruled out the HD from causing the problem.
The problem is either the pcmcia card, which is pny P-NSA2-PCM-RF,
or a bad driver, which I have tried to find a better one and failed.
It could simply be an incompatibility cause by my operating system.
I am running windows xp x64 which is really windows sever 2003 x64.
I am considering putting a new copy of windows x32 on a seperate partition, but I need to back up my files first, but that is going extreemly slow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
