Hi. I have been having major problems with my system. It is forcing perodic reboots- sometimes as often as every 10-15 minutes.

Event Viewer is showing the following in the Application log: "wuauclt (2120) Database recovery/restore failed with unexpected error -551."

The System log displays: "The QuickBooksDB17 service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified."

I've been pulling my hair out trying to correct this. Can anybody here help?????

stop quick book from loading on automatic ie with windows

i am assuming you are loading up to and downloading from quick books hence the updating error try update manually or reinstall the software

look in services start run type services.msc scroll to quickbooks (if its there) and set to auto

Also, contact Intuit. The error messages don't make very much sense to me-wuauclt is the Windows Update Automatic Client. Does QuickBooks update itself via Windows Update? It seems to me that that's a question that Intuit should answer.
