    Hello Everyone,

    I'm going to buy an All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier with a built-in Ethernet port.
I have a Router at home which connects all my computers to the Internet and also there is one vacant port in that router. Can I connect my Printer to that Ethernet port and print documents from all the other computers in that network itself?
If so, how do I do it? Do I need to buy a switch?

    Thank you in Advance,
    Auzern

    Yes.
The procedure varies between manufacturers. What printer are you buying?
In all likelihood it will come with an install disk that walks you through the set up.

as hughv says, you wont need a switch - just connect to the router - when told to by the software - whats the make and model you are thinking of, there should be set-up instructions on the web so you can see what you need to do

Thank you, etaf and Hughv. That clears my question. Now I need to buy a good printer and then will come back to this topic. ;)
