    Hello all,
Great site..I love it! I have a problem. I am new to the everquest world. I have downloaded the game and when I hit "play everquest" (after I pick the server) I get this message "eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and must now close" Any ideas.
I have a 82815 intel graphic controller video card and 384 MB of ram. (IF this info helps) Thats for any help.

    1) try the forums over at www.everquest.com. They are pretty good.

    2) make sure your video and sound card drivers are the version recommended (check everquest.com....they recommend driver versions for different video cards.

    3) Try running the game with no sound (make an empty text file called nosound.txt in your everquest folder and try again. If it works, update your sound drivers.

    4) close ALL programs running in the background (use msconfig)

    5) run Spybot(run a search on google for spybot) to get the background programs hiding from msconfig.

    6) might also make sure you are using at least DirectX 8.1

If none of this helps, then we need to know the operating system,
