I loaded an important document onto my floppy disk to take with me a few hours ago. Now its asking me if i want to format the disk, and wont let me view its contents...
Any idea on how to allow me to grab document off of it, or am I doomed to going back home to put it back on the disk again?
    Thanks,
    Bruce

Could be something wrong with the floppy drive in the current computer you're using.

Assuming you're at work, is there another computer you can try the disk in?

Seen this with floppies too many times.

Result of Dirty Drives or bad disks.

Take it to a computer with a new floppy drive or one that has been cleaned recently.

When I say dirty I am referring to actual dust and crap in the drive.
