Hi!
I've a laptop running Win 98. While the DVD-ROM bay was installed, I attemped to attach a External USB CD-RW. I backed up some files to the external drive without a hitch.
However, when I tried to access my DVD-ROM in order to ascertain that the information had copied correctly, my system re-booted.
Now, everytime I try to access the DVD-ROM drive, my computer automatically reboots. UGH. I've puttered around the BIOS, reloaded drivers using the floppy drive. All to no avail. Most recently, I've managed to change a setting which completely locks up my computer if my DVD-ROM is attached.
Anyone have any ideas? Sniff, I miss my DVD drive...
