I have Office 2000 installed on my PC. When trying to open a exel doc. from the desktop or an email I get an error message " Cannot find the file or one of its components. Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available". All other application work fine except excel.

I have uninstalled, re-installed, and repaired office 2000 and just keep getting the same error message. Any suggestions?

Open Excel first and then try to open the spreadsheet. I ran into this before when trying to open them on a network drive. It was a setting in the file options.
