Hi All,
I do have a excel having 40 columns and 10000 records.
Column J `Mode` is having either `Truck` or `Rail`.
Now I want to insert values in another column `O` as
1. If in column `J` the value is `Truck` then
column `O` can have any one of the below value:
111
222
333

2. If in column `J` the value is `Rail` then
column `O` can have any one of the below value:
999
888

Is there any function with help of which I can achieve this?

Regds..

Ajay,

Could you explain a little better what you are trying to do? Also, could you attach a sample file showing what you are trying to do?

Ajay, welcome to the forum.

What determines if 'Truck' gets 111, 222, or 333?

Are you going to manually enter the numbers, and you want the worksheet to not allow any other numbers except the ones you have specified for 'Truck' and 'Rail'?

or

Do you want the numbers to be entered automatically?
