I have a user with Office 2007 Pro (complete install) on their system. the system is a new Dell Precision Workstation (dual core CPU, 2G RAM, nvidia quadro nvs 290). The problem occurs when the user opens Excel. The menu bars & buttons are garbled (mostly grayed out). If the user closes Excel & reopens all is fine. This also occurs when the user has a spreadsheet open & tries to open a second spreadsheet (then both are garbled). I have the user saving via Ctrl S, closing & reopening Excel but this is getting bothersome for the user. I've tried various different drivers for the NVS 290 including, Dell recommended, from Windows update & nVIDIA all have same problem. Problem occurs in single monitor & dual monitor modes, with oter applications up & with no other apps up. msconfig used to clean startup group, system has all available patches & upgrades including Office SP1, system has been defragged.

If anyone has the answer I would appreciate it.
    Thanks!
