    I'm using Excel 2010.
    I have a workbook with TWO Tabs (sorry, cannot attach).
    First Tab, the data - Second Tab, the form I want generated.

    In the first Tab, Column A is a date. Columns B and C are TEXT Data
    For the second tab, I want to create formula that reads like this:

    If first tab Column A = a specified date, then bring in the information in first Columns B and C.

    If the date appears five times, can it bring the information in and create five rows? (or am I restricted to only cell to cell formulas?)

    It sounds like I should just do a simple cut/paste sort of thing and not create a difficult formula, but I really need a formula, because ultimately it will be expanded beyond two simple tabs.

    Hi, welcome to the board.

    One thing is not clear, a form in the second tab? Form? Not a table.

    You could just extract Column A B C for the the Fisrt Tab and put this in a new workbook to attach so that you can expplain it better.
    I know, when I explain somehting I cannot understand why the other person doesn't understand it but that's the whole thing, to get the picture right.

    It actually is a table (not a form). I was also told to investigate vlookup?

    OK - attached is a document. For the specifics, I want a vlookup or formula on the Dailies Tab the would return information from the sq5101 Tab.

    If the information in Column F on "sq5101" matches A1 on "Dailies", I want the information in Column A and Column C from "sq5101" to show up on "Dailies".

    Therefore in my sample, on Dailies, I should see:

    A3=s0030
    B3=Bob
    A4=s0050
    B4=Jim

    This is based on the date on A1 of the "Dailies" Tab A1 matching the date in Column F on "sq5101" Tab
