Got a file that I can make multiple updates to, multiple saves. Then I make one more modification and save and.... it just WILL NOT SAVE any more modifications. Not a HUGE file, under 5,000 kB.

    Suggestions?

    Hi, welcome to the forum,
Is it a network drive? have you tried Save As to another location?

No, not a network drive. I have tried saving it to another location, and I've sent the file to another person who had the same problem with the file not saving.

    Any ideas?

Have you checked if there's any vba code in it?
That's another possibilty. you can write coe (if it has macros) that will not allow to either, print, save or save as or copy etc. etc.

Haven't checked for any vba code. How would I do that?
I have already actually multiple times. However, when I do one more change and save, it won't save at all.
In fact, I've done this whole process with this same file many times. Perform many changes and saves to the file (maybe 8 or maybe 15) and the next change and save attempt, it won't save.

    Very strange.

If this file does not contain sensitive data you might try attaching it to this post so that wecan see if the problem occurs too.
Don't forget to mention what steps you did so that the problem can be reproduced.

OK, tried it and that doesn't work either.
Just get a message that says "Excel has encountered a problem and must close"

Is there very much formatting in the sheets? Is it more than one sheet?
Try right clicking on each sheet tab and select copy move sheet, destinadion new workbook and create copy.
Can you save that sheet only?
