I'm making a drill sheet for marching band and the autocorrecting is making me really mad. I want to say something like: "12 counts move happens in measures 1-2" However, excel changes the 1-2 into january 2. It's making me really mad. I can't undo it and turning off automatic corrections does not help stop. How can I do this? thanks.

Format the cell as text first !
To do this highlight the cell or column or row where you want this format then right click and select format cells, scroll down and select text then click ok.
