Why does it take so long for my machine to 'unlock' after i save or close excel or word files---even very small ones? I have 223 mghtz processor and 64MB RAM.

    Thanks Texas Tim,
My Gateway Win95 system is ~3 years old.
I HAVE deleted all the /tmp files and scanned and defragged!!

    Any other thoughts???
This is costing me about 20 minutes extra per day!!!

This also happens if you have Outlook's Journal logging option enabled for Office docs.
