Somebody saved this file with an incorrect extension, I tried to see what it is, it does hav xml coding but it's not a newer word file, maybe powerpoint or vision?
Someboody goofed when saving the file and gave it the incorrect extension.

You should try changing the extensions for the PP or Vision or other that may come up

the top row in notepaed reads

    Code:

    HP H P Common ”M]WðW¼M]W*,WoW (=]Z r o d P p ÜÑnZ@ XÕ2 2ܬmZ

If you change the excesion to zip you'll see that it's word related.

Probably some version of word (MAC?)

I just tested your file with Office 2010 but like I imagined, it is a Word file but the contents are incomplete, I think the file was incorrectly saved, apart from the fact that you post is an Excel flie, it is unuseable Word file.

Sorry for you, you'll have to try and find the correct version.

"The exact message: File probably damaged, contents are unreadable."

Really?! That's odd. I'm pretty sure it is an excel file.
I'll found an older version of the file...maybe this would be better to work with?

I really appreciate your help guys! :D THANK YOU!

Like I said the file is corrupt and it's NOT an Excel file!
Do the following to see for yourself:

Rename the file you just posted
    Name: Updated.xlsx
    Rename to: Updated.xlsx.zip

The open it it via the Windows Explorer and it will show you te contents and you will see it for yourself.

It seems crazy but the new version Excel, Word etc files are raelly a type of self extracting zip files.
Don't aske me for deatils but that is as I explain it.

You can check the contents en you will see the main document named [ Content_Types].xml and this one is corrupt.
