Can I create a formula in excel to check when a file was last modified and have it return a variable based on that?

    Something like:
    =if(FileDateTime("C:\Documents and Settings\853\Desktop\a.txt") = Today, Yes, No)

    Or am I way off?

Any help please would be great.
