I have a user who has many Excel files with many, many, hard coded links in formulas. Our directory structure has changed and she must move the files.

Is there a simple way to update these links to reflect the new file structure? Yes, this should have been done in access. This is Office 2000 btw.

sometimes you can get links to auto update, IF you have them opened (all of them) as you make the changes?

    otherwise you may be hosed?

in the update links window you can select a new location for the linked sheets, I use that quite a bit if a file has been moved from one folder to another one?

    hope that helps?
