    Mr. Tech Guy,
In Excel 2007, I want to place a command button in a cell that, when clicked, unhides subset cells. Easy enough. But how do I get it to rehide those cells when I click on the button again. And, of course unhide next time and so on. An on-off switch as it were.

VBA is Greek to me; I create macros by entering commands on keyboard.

    Much obliged for any help.

I'm not much of a VBA person myself - I sure it is possible (probably reset a state each time it is clicked) but you could use radio buttons instead - one for unhide and one for hide.

The Option of Group and Outline isn't good enough?

I would double Aj-old's recommendation. Also, have a look at AutoFilter as well.
