I had a question about if theres a formula in excel that will allow you to take one total from one sheet and put that total on another sheet.

If that sounds confusing, let me try to clear it up. I have a total on sheet 1 that i want to use on sheet 2. How would i get that total onto sheet 2? Is it possible? Thanks in advance :)

Yeah you should be able to do this. When you say Sheets do you mean different documents or sheets in the same workbook?

If they're in the same workbook then all you have to do is:

    ="SheetName"!"CellReference"

Keep the exclamation mark in there.

I think that is the way to do it...

I think that you might want to try

example if the total was on (sheet 1) cell A1
go to the cell on sheet 2 that you want tha total to appear and add this formula

    =Sheet1!A1
all together no spaces and no exclamation marks.

    This works for me.

    Except there are no quotes.

Another way to do it so that you don't need to remember the syntax is

    Select the cell
    Edit > Copy
Switch to the sheet where you want to reference
    Select the cell there
Edit > Paste Special > Paste Link button
