I work for a consulting company that does work for non-profit organizations. Much of our work includes building financial models and other Excel-based tools for our clients. We’re currently searching for a way to protect our files / work so that clients can’t use the file indefinitely without paying us some type of licensing fee.

Is anyone aware of an online software that allows users to edit, but not download Excel files? We looked into Box.net, but their user permissions are set in a way that allows users to both edit and download files. Google docs doesn't contain the usability or functionality we require.

Another option would be to have some software or VBA code that locks the file after a certain date. Suggestions on this would be appreciated as well.
