Excel time change

    Hi guys.....
    looking for a way to ....enter a time in cell D8 and have the time appear in cell D9 as 30min earlier
    enter 2:30pm in D8 and show 2:00pm in cell Dp

    Can this work.....thanks james

    Just use arithmentic.
    In time calculations, 1=1 day, so 30 minutes is 1/48

    formula would be =D8-(1/48)
    Format the cell as time though or it will display 0 or a strange result.
