    Is there a way I can turn off the column and row headers just for a specific workbook not for everything I open in excel?

    hi Tagliaboo......

    Go to:

    Tools / Options

    from the View tab....
    disable Row & column headers

    :)

    Willl all of my other workbooks stay with the default

    Yes...

    that is what is known as a "Window Option"....
    which means "the current window"

    Try it (you'll see) :)
