Yesterday my computer experienced a power drop out and now i am unable to access the internet with my network adapter. I'm using a Linksys WUSB54G. It has excellent signal strength but is unable to find the internet. I have tried:

-manually resetting the router and modem
-using both manual and DHCP assigned IP address and DNS servers
    -resetting the winsock and netlog
    -uninstalling and reinstalling drivers
-and using a different adapter WUSB54GC with the same results as before.

I can not seem to work, any suggestions would be appreciated

    Thanks,
    Christine Ashley

Are you able to connect and get internet access by ethernet?

Please set the wireless for DHCP addressing, try to connect and show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

I'd disable all encryption and MAC filtering on the router for a test and see if you can connect that way.
