Excessive formatting

    I think there should be a reasonable limit to formatting done in posts.
    I experienced this in a debate:

    It is exceedingly difficult to reply to a post like this from a reply window.

    The main issue wasn't so much about the quote button, but rather the massive color and font formatting that made the post difficult to read in a reply window.

    On second thought, I will reopen this thread on the chance that the administrators would consider changing the text formatting features, and allow the members to offer comments.

    Just my opinion, but if people don't write with an eye to their audience (readers), then there is not much we can do about it. People need to take account of others, the ones they are trying to communicate with. If they don't, then they don't deserve a response at all.
