    HI Guys

    Got a lil issue,

I work for a big company, we have a user who has a mailbox in JHB but she also has a pc in our cape town offices, so that problem is that when goes to JHB and returns to cape town 2-4 days later and she opens her outlook , it takes forever to download and obviously it does not happen to her in JHB as her mailbox is in JHB.

Now the thing is the user refuses to work on a laptop (perosnal reasons ) but now i am faced with issue where as the wants the mails to be retrieved quicker ?

    anybody have any ideas ?

    Thanks

What is the connection between the two offices? I am assuming that cached mode is enabled in the Cape Town office and downloading all of the email once Outlook is opened.

we have a dedicated 16mb line between the two offices, and yes you atre correct cache mode is enabled on the users pc.

That is why it is taking so long. I would disable cached mode unless there is some compelling reason for it to be enabled.
