Hi,
I recently uploaded some programs to my Yahoo Briefcase. When I try to download them back to my computer, they download as just a "document". I get the "open with" window, but can't seem to figure out what to use.

I tried to use Explorer but with no luck. File folder association shows that application extension .EXE opens with (EXECUTABLE). Aren't executable suppose to run themselves without needing an asscociated program? Yahoo briefcase does show the programs I save as .exe files, but when I try to download them, it just allows me to download them as a document or as "all files".

Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

Hey,

When it asks you for the filename and folder location when you're downloading the files from Yahoo briefcase, type in ".exe" (no quotations) after the filename.

Don't worry about the type of file. Just leave it set to "all files" and type in .exe after the filename.

I use an e-mail client that does this exact same thing (where it doesn't save the type of file when you're downloading attachments).

Hope this works.
