My IE keep freezing up. I was told by Comcast that I have too many processes running. How can I tell which ones I can safely delete and what happens if I delete the wrong ones?

Howdy,

Pretty much any process with your username next to it except:

Video Card Driver
Mouse Driver
Printer Driver
Explorer.exe
Anti Virus
Sound Driver
Anti Spyware.
The driver in which you connect internet.

Which if you think about it not many. So i suspect comcast is incorrect unless you have a viral process.

NOTE: Any process with NETWORK SERVICE, LOCAL SERVICE, SYSTEM should NOT be terminated. Processes like:

csrss.exe
lsass.exe
scvhost.exe (atleast 6 of em)
winlogon.exe
smss.exe
System
System Idle Process
alg.exe

Should not be terminated.
