exporting addresses in outlook express

    greetings,
    exporting my address book to my other computer and the folders did not copy over plus all contacts were relisted in the main identity folder. why doesnt the address book import exactly the way it was when it was exported?

    do you have exactly the same identities on both computers?
    I don't like this import export stuff anyway. Just find the address book in windows explorer, right click it, send to floppy.
    Stick floppy in new computer and drag address book back to where it lives on new computer, replace exisiting, yes (as long as there are no addresses in there), copy and paste to the floppy first if there areor vice versa depending how many addresses.

    Also if you are planning on transferring all your OE E-mail, folders, and news items to another computer you might want to follow this procedure laid out in at this web site. It is rather tedious but works quit well any shortcutting doesn't seem to work nor does the simple method list at this site.
