I have an external hard drive that possibly has viruses on it...I was using it to back up files on computer that recently started running very slow. The computer's browsers won't open in order to get an internet connection to try and fix it, otherwise, I'd be posting on the Removal Forum.

Anyway, I have a new laptop, but I don't really want to connect the hard drive to it because I don't want to infect it. I have a desktop I can use to scan it, but I am not sure of what I should use that will be effective. I would post on the Removal Forum, but I don't know if I can follow the necessary procedure correctly if I am only scanning a hard drive.

Thanks for any help in advance. I don't really know where to begin, so if this gets any responses I'll just follow instructions as they come.

Okay, I probably should have put the question in this forum, I was just concerned I wouldn't get any replies because I don't know if I can use the protocol for posting here on an external hard drive.
