Hi.
I have an External Enclosure that came with an LG cd burner. I took the burner out and put in my old 40 gb hdd because I just want to use it for a crappy old laptop that only has 2 gb on it. I installed it the way it told me to and set it up correctly but when I flip the power switch, nothing happens. The computer it came from was fried in a power outtage but now i am well protected against an occurance like that. Could my hdd also be fried? I believe it is a western digital and it was bought 2 months before the computer was toast.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Alex Busman

If the power supply blew in the PC it came from, it could have blew out the drive as well.. When a power supply blows, it can take any other component as well. That's why we push using a quality power supply!
