My computer tower is located inside an open-door cabinet under my desk. Often I feel the air inside the cabinet with my hand and it's quite warm at times.

I don't want my motherboard to over-heat. Would it help to put an external fan infront of the cabinet, under my desk, at my feet in order to keep the temperature a bit cooler in there?

Like I have said before heat is the number one enemy of electronics.

Because that warm air is going to end up being sucked back into the computer then I say yes, you should think of ways to move that air away from your system. Even a small fan to circulate the air out of the cabinet would be a step in the right direction.
