You have a few things that are unnecessary starting up with your computer. If you wish to remove them, check the following and click "Fix Checked".

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

What It Does

Puts a Quicktime icon in your taskbar, takes up resources and isn't necessary unless you open the Quicktime player using it instead of a shortcut.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Yahoo! Pager] C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\ypager.exe -quiet

What It Does

Puts a Yahoo! Messenger icon in your taskbar, takes up resources and isn't neessary unless you open Yahoo! Messenger using it instead of a shortcut.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot

What It Does

Allows the RealPlayer to update when your computer starts up, this is unnecessary because you can manually update it anytime you feel it is necessary.

Removing those should take 30-40 seconds off of startup time.

to disable the windows/office language tool bar

HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\ctfmon.exe

this is a huge memory hog
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/langbarremove.reg

get the google toolbar as a popup stopper
http://toolbar.google.com/

so less will run on startup

HKLM\..\Run: [STOPzilla] "C:\Program Files\STOPzilla!\Stopzilla.exe" /autorun

disable usless video card tools
intel
HKLM\..\Run: [IgfxTray] C:\WINDOWS\System32\igfxtray.exe
HKLM\..\Run: [HotKeysCmds] C:\WINDOWS\System32\hkcmd.exe

Nvidia
HKLM\..\Run: [NvCplDaemon] RUNDLL32.EXEC:\WINDOWS\System32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup
HKLM\..\Run: [nwiz] nwiz.exe /install

uninstall/disable spyware /useless tools
HKLM\..\Run: [PS2] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ps2.exe
HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Update Detection] C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WkDetect.exe
can never seem to get rid of this one

disable unnecessary windows services

Machine Debug Manager
start then run
type in services.msc
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7Debug\mdm.exe

check out the black viper link for more info on XP services

PS if your on DSL that uses PPPoe

this should help as well
open the control panel
open network connections
open the LAN or local area connection (your NIC card)
open the tcp/ip of your NIC card
add this private/non routable IP
192.168.123.123 tab down to subnet mask( it will auto populate)
click ok to close.

First thing to do is move hijackthis.exe into a folder, don't run it from your desktop. Make a folder on your hard drive, like c:\hjt.

Run HJT again and check:

O16 - DPF: {DDFFA75A-E81D-4454-89FC-B9FD0631E726} - http://www.zestyfind.com/app/DS4/DS4.cab

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".
