What is the model number and the service tag number on your Dell Inspiron.
Does it has already Windows XP in it that you want to reset.

The Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop is a low budget model and is over 10 years old and not worth spending money on to get it running again.

But if you insist on doing so and you live in the U.S.A., you can purchase a factory restore recovery disc kit for it from here.

Every 6000 that I've worked on in the past came with Windows XP Home Edition, but the COA sticker will confirm which Windows XP version came in yours.
