Not sure if everybody has noticed....but the FAD program has stopped. Check out their website...

The rest of the jobs can continue to run and send back the results, but....yea, the project is dead :(

We did pretty well overall as a team. We finished in 31st out of around 250 teams, and considering we only had about 10 people active throughout the project, I'd say that's pretty good.

Personally, I've moved my machines back to running [email protected] for Overclockers.com...everyone here is more than welcome to join as well ;) http://www.ocforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21 is our Folding Forum.

Yup. The project was successful though, they got data for more projects than they thought they would, and that data was and still will be put to use, so it wasn't all for nothing.

But [email protected] has a Linux client ;)

As the program is no longer running I see no reason to keep this as a sticky so I have unstuck it & it will drop down the list in due course

Congrats & thanks to everybody who did take part and help with the research

Yeah digging this one up again guys and gals.

I want to personally thank each and everyone that joined in and ran this project. I want to apologize to you all for not being able to stick with you till the end. I ran into alot of problems over the course of the last yr or 3.

It was great to see the team take off like it did and I commend all of you on a job well done. (y) (y) (y) (y)

I'd like to know the answer to that one myself. But I'm not curious enough to overcome my laziness and actually read a bunch of posts in this thread to find out

i was just about to open a thread in random suggesting a TSG [email protected] team, because,
while looking through ,[email protected] team statistics,i came across one that was a memorial to a certain marlene. and so thought of TSG's angelize55,and that maybe TSG members may be interested in creating an ANGELIZE55 memorial team.

this page explains it quite well>

    sorry ANGELIZE56:eek:

I used to participate in the FAD program as well until it went offline, but now I too participate in [email protected] Unlike FAD, [email protected] will be around for a very long time due to the support it has gotten.
Some friends and I started a team called Pwnerz (original... not) and we're moving up. We've only had it going a few months now. Anyone can join if they please, but even if you don't join our team I still think you should download the program. There is also a tutorial that tells you how to get it to run on multiple cores here:
    http://icrontic.com/articles/foldinghome_on_multithreaded_windows_pcs

If you are a gamer it is a good idea to disable it while playing any DirectX 10 games like UT3 or Crysis, or while benchmarking, etc. If you have it on all of your cores then you can disable it by running "Services.msc" from the run box and disabling the two (or three or four) FAH services.
