Failure to Shut Down

    My old desktop, still running 98, recently stopped shutting down. It just quits with the Windows logo showing under which it reads "Windows is shutting down". As I said, it's a recent development. Previously it shut down fully and real fast. Any suggestions as to what may have happened? I've made no changes.
