I am trying to migrate an old raid 0 running on nvidia nforce hardware (A8N5X motherboard) to a modern setup running on an asrock FM2A85X AMD motherboard. Is it possible to do this without data loss? How do I configure the raid? I tried to set it up in the bios but it is asking me for some settings which were not necessary under the old motherboard and I don't want to overwrite the data and intialize a new raid.

Unless it's the same manufacturer of the RAID it won't likely work and could cause complete data loss.

You will need to backup the contents of the current RAID to another device, then create a new RAID array on the new system and restore the data to the new array.

You will also need to reinstall Windows on the new system anyways because you've changed the motherboard anyway so migrating the RAID is pointless. Start clean and get the proper performance and stability on the new system.
