I'm working on a clone w/486DX 100Mhz CPU. I reloaded Win95b clean, then installed IE4.0 over 3. As the install was fininshing system settings the error above occurred. Since then, no matter what I do, whatever OS (MS) I install, this error reoccurs when an app is installed. I've also started receiving IE internal errors when navigating through sites. This causes the machine to shut IE down. Does anyone have an idea what is causing this? MS KB doesn't address this particular item.
Sincere thanks in advance for any and all assistance provided.

Thanks. I'll recheck the chips. This old MB has mounted writeback L2 cache. I hope its not bad.
