Unable to open microsoft work, with the following message showing:Fatal exception OE 0177:BFF9DFFF. The system is a Dell Demension L600cx, with 600 mhz celeron processor, 128mb ram, built in graphics, 20gb hard drive. All other applications seemed to be fine.

Fatal exception OE has 3 usual causes. The most common is a bad video card, another is an anti-virus update mucking things up (specifically McAfee gets mentioned). Finally, it could be that you are out of temporary file space or have too many temp files in the Temp folder. If you are getting a "Dangerously low on resources" message it is quite likely the last one, however. (Just search for *.tmp and delete any files over a week old).
