How do I move my favourites from my PC(Windows XP) to my laptop(Windows 8). I cannot find the favourite file on my PC to load it on to a memory stick and transfer that way.

C:\Users\username\Favorites is what you are looking for. Transfer the contents to the same folder on your laptop in the same (windows 8) path..
Terrynet's post (next) is the correct path in your XP OS.

In XP that would be C:\Documents and Settings\<user account>\Favorites.
