faxing and cable

    not sure if this goes here but anyway here goes, is it possible to send a fax to someone over cable ? i can't see how as the fax machine on the other end is connected to a land line, or their fax software is connected by a modem

    does anyone now of any neat way to send a fax via cable to a modem user ? i probably am being very dumb here but heh ! we all have bad days !!

    There are services that allow you to send and receive FAX via your Internet connection, but it'll cost you. Here's a typical service, note that they have a limited receive-only free service. There are others, just search for "Internet FAX" with any search engine. eFax
