fdc error/ f1 to start windows

    how do i correct the fact that i have to hit f1 to resume windows everytime my computer starts up?

    FDC usually stands for Floppy Disk Controller. You may have a bad cabel, drive, or BIOS setting. I would first try disabling the FDC in BIOS and remove the Floppy from the Boot Sequence.

    thank you, how do i get into BIOS setting to change it?

    usually hit the delete key just after the first writing comes on the screen and keep hitting it until the bios appears.

    Did you get into BIOS? When you power on your PC it usually displays what Keys are used to enter SETUP, which is BIOS. You can also check your PC manual.
