feed scanner?

    I heard this guy on the radio a while back referring to a small scanner that he had at home. It looked like a shredder, he said, and he would slide a paper into it and it would automatically feed the paper through, scan the document, then automatically save the image to a file on his computer. He used it for keeping a digital record of all of this bills and credit card statements.
    Sounds like a good idea to me, but I haven't been able to find a scanner like the one he described - fully automatic like that. Has anyone heard of one of these?

    Have you tried doing a google search for laptop scanners?

    Nice sig by the way, although I don't expect a visit from Guy Montag anytime soon. :p

    Laptop scanners, you're right, that must be it - thanks.

    In re: the sig, I'm more referring to the wall sized interactive monitors that people wasted their lives on in the book (similar to online gaming, TV and the web...great distractions) - as well as the lack of a real choice in political elections (make one candidate look horrible and you can choose your winner...similar to the status quo of the Republicats we have now).
