Since I've had my computor I've been using Windows Media Player for mp3s and movies and such. I realized recently that with Nero, I also got Nero Media Player. I decided to try it out and I didn't like it very much, but it was too late, it had already turned my files into Nero media player affiliated files, so if I want to play something in Windows Media Player, I have to right click, blah blah.
How can I turn them back into WMP affiliated files ?

Open WMP, go to Tools>Options>File Types tab. Put a check mark next to all file types you want to open in WMP. Click OK.

    or, if that doesn't work....

Find a file of the type you want to open in WMP. While holding down the shift key, right click on the file. Choose Open With. Choose WMP from the list, check the box "Always open files of this type...." and click OK. That should change the file association for all files of that type back to WMP.
