    Hi

I am installing a WXP OS

I get the message ' The file asms on WXP service pk2 is needed. Type the path where the file is located.
    Copy files from GLOBALROT\DEVICECDROM\1386.

When I type regedit.exe into cmd I get 'The system cannot execute the specified program'.

How can I solve it please?

    Thank you

Is this a clean installation to a drive? Which medium are you using for the installation, e.g. DVD, flash drive? Are you sure this has the full list of files for the OS installation?

Another thing to consider: do you really want to bother with XP in this day & age?

If you follow the steps HERE correctly and properly, you should be able to install Windows XP and get it completely up-to-date (as of April 2014).
